Been dealing with users having random BSOD on laptops when traversing in a mesh WiFi environment. We have found that the BSOD is only happening when the device is connected to the AX network. When the Wifi is set to only connect to the AC, the issue goes away. We have updated the laptop’s BIOS, WiFi card, and ALL other device updates that were available.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

This is the first I’ve ever heard of a BSOD when moving between networks like that…I’ve seen going from wireless to wired or wireless to dock (and back again) cause it though. What fixed it in all those situations are firmware updates but as you’ve already updated with what was available, that’s probably not the issue.

Have you created any help tickets with the laptop manufacturer yet? This could be a known-issue they’re trying to fix already.

Please provide the BSOD error from the event viewer, this will provide the reason why.

I expect this is driver related, but for completeness, also tell us about the devices.

OS version and revision (W11 24h2 for example), domain/workgroup, AP make and models, what Wi-Fi cards are in use.

Realtek RTL8852AE / RTL8852BE:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and rtwlane6.sys
Only workaround, use AC mode.

Intel AX200 / AX201:

BSODs with NETWTW10.SYS when connected to Wi-Fi 6-enabled Aruba APs.
Workarounds - Roll back to older drivers (e.g., 22.110.x or 21.10.2.2)

If there are extenders in use on this network, turn them off and see if the issue persists.
