Hello

We are looking to use Spiceworks as an asset database as well as an Help Desk tool. The inventry aspect is great for picking up all IT assets connected to the network, but we what to add other items such as monitors, projectors etc. Is there any way we can get spiceworks to detect monitors or is there a way to bulk inport these details from our current access database?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have created the csv file and took 4 items from that for a test. When I run the test I get an error

See attached for the csv file and error message.

Hi Dave,

My guess is the error is referring to your " " entries for Owner on a few of the devices. Try populating these with text, or possibly using single quotes instead of double quotes, ’ ’ .

This import method is sensitive to formatting, including extra spaces.
