Cannot get SpiceWorks to inventory any systems.

The ad’s made it sound simple, plug it in an inventory takes place. I am running Spiceworks on a w/2003 server. It finds all the equipment but keeps giving me authentication errors for W/XP pro machines and for MAC X machines it finds nothing. I think I have looked at most of the help but I can get it to work. The only machine it has inventoried is the server it runs on. HELP!

I had the same with XP’s

command to allow through XP firewall
at the dos prompt type …
netsh firewall set service REMOTEADMIN enable

I cannot comment on the Mac

Jono, thanks fro your feedback, did you need to do this even if the Windows Fireware is disabled??
