I am doing some (volunteer) work for a local school for children with special needs. They have a person who they call to fix broken equipment, and have hired in outside help for a few one off projects, but have no IT department. The IT documentation consists of one post-it-note with three passwords on.
I am in the process of logging all of the changes that I am making, as well as documenting everything that I discover. The other piece of work is a network map, but I will move onto that next.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or templates to share? I have posted a redacted version of what I have started. It is very much a draft version, and some of it doesn’t make sense.
A password database is also a necessity.

But have you?
EDIT: I see you edited your post lol
I don’t have a tempalte I can share, but when I used to work for an MSP it’s basically the onboarding / discvcovery process that needs to happen here.
I’d start with an nmap sweep in the IP range and go from there.
Maybe look into a free wink wink ticketing system where you can track changes and requests?
