I have a virtualized RDS Server that the client wants to have his logo as the desktop background.
Problem is, the background is mostly white and the text for icons on the desktop have white text.
I feel silly as I can’t figure out how to change the color of the text. Windows desktop experience is on, but I just can’t find this setting.

That’s for Windows 7… Totally different in Server 2012 R2.

I run into this before as well.
You can set the wallpaper, but that does not change the ‘default background color’
So let’s say your wallpaper is white, but your default background color is white as well, it will not adjust the font color of the font of shortcuts.
See my blog post about it.

Control Panel -Display-Color and Appearance. Change it to High Contrast White. Background is white and Icon text is black. You can change the color settings on that theme to fit your needs.

Neally,
Now it’s giving me the black background with white text, but my wallpaper will not apply since that is the background.

Randy, I did that, but the desktop is white and I can’t apply the photo as the desktop. it just remains white.
How does the logo take up the entire page?..is it really THAT important for the logo to be the desktop background? Can’t you center it and use a black background?

Yes, No. This is what the client wants.

That has left me unable to change the background to the Photo I need. All I can do is black now.
