Anyone come across a team’s channel being deleted?
I am pretty sure the members aren’t deleting. I had two channels deleted that I had to restore.
I did subsequently disable members from being able to delete.
Just curious if anyone else has seen this behavior.

For us, any instance of a Team/SharePoint going missing has been tracked to some user deleting the Team/SharePoint.

Check your M365 audit logs to see if you can find out what happened.

It was odd that it happened to two channels. But you are probably correct in a user accidentally deleting. Can’t happen again.

Did you delete/remove any users recently? They could have been the sole owners of those channels. :man_shrugging:

Were they active teams, aka currently in use? Do you have auto group cleanup enabled?

@PatrickFarrell Oh yeah active and no auto group cleanup enabled.
Most likely someone deleted on accident. I’ve disabled that option in the team’s settings. I should note that while it’s in our tenant - it’s used for something other than actual work so didn’t see a need for limitations.

I would be looking at the audit log then to see if you can determine who deleted it.
