To import printers etc allow ability to upload a CSV of assets
The inability to import devices prohibits our use of SpiceWorks. Our application monitors the performance of the internet backbone through servers located in points-of-presence around the word. Understandably, an application outside of the network core cannot access the servers, so they must be imported. The number of servers is far too large to input by hand, which eliminates SpiceWorks as a potential solution.

Allowing CSV import of devices and software assets of isolated labs allows a broader view where no agent may reach server and hence does either make no sense or could be limited to generate export file.
I concur with these sentiments. I am trying to roll out the Spiceworks Cloud based ticketing system along with Inventory. However, not being able to bulk import devices is prohibitive to us from using Spiceworks.
As a side note, I’m not sure what is involved in making this available, but it seems odd that it was offered with the on prem version and not with the cloud version, moving backwards?
Please fix! Thanks!

This is absolutely vital for organizations that manage large sets of devices that don’t allow agent installs.
This request was created 3.5 years ago and has not been actioned yet. Will this feature ever be made available?

This is a useful feature that I’d definitely like to see.

Yes, please! I have all my inventory in a spreadsheet and it would be a much quicker way to import via csv.
Please, add this feature since Inventory Online already supports the export into a CSV file. Our team gives support to devices rented to customers. The devices are not on our network, but we use the inventory as a database of rented devices that can be referenced on the HelpDesk. This is the only reason we still does not migrate to your Cloud, still on on-premise 7.5.
