Command window to Reset Password not working

For some reason I can’t login to Spiceworks so I went to the Reset_Password.exe file in the Programs Files\Spicewoks folder. But when I doubleclicked it a command windows opens but I get no prompts to enter my email address. In fact I get no prompts at all.

So I wondered if maybe I had already reset my password some time ago since I haven’t had Spiceworks open for a quite a while, but the default reset password ‘spiceworks’ does not get me in either.

Any ideas?

Hi,

It may take awhile for the prompt “Please enter the email address…” to show. It may sit there and blink at you for a bit, which isn’t abnormal. However, waiting more than 5 minutes is unreasonable.

yep, you’re right. I set there for about 2-1/2 minutes and it finally asked for my email address.
