This is part of the Spiceworks Community field-guide.
Badges are a great source of pride in the Spiceworks Community: they show off your involvement and expertise in various areas and call out how long you’ve been hanging out here so others can see.
You can learn a lot about a Spiceworks Community member by looking at his or her collection of badges by visiting that member’s profile and clicking on the ‘Badges’ menu item. They indicate everything from their country of origin to their love of badgers. More importantly, they highlight the many ways that members contribute to the community. There are currently over 100s of badges that you might see, although many of them are historical badges that can no longer be earned.
Favorite badges
Did you know you can favorite two (2) badges? Simply visit your own Badge listing on your profile page. You will see a greyed-out gold star icon in the bottom right corner. Click the ones you want to highlight.
What does this do? I’m glad you asked! Whenever you are in a topic and click on a member’s profile name, you’ll see a modal overlay window with more details about that member. Towards the bottom, it will show their badges, the first ones being the ones they have favorited (if they have favorited any badges).
I think I'm missing a badge!?
Badges are serious business, we know this. So if you feel like you're missing a badge, just reach out to the Spiceworks Community Team and we'll be able to look into the situation.
