Seriously, though, we’re going to hold off on investigating any badge weirdness until the conversion script is done running later this week. After we declare the “All Clear,” go ahead and let us know if you’re still seeing duplicates.

Will it continue to take us to the user’s profile page when we click on the + in their badge list, instead of staying on the page we are on?

I’m leaving this here instead of annoying the managers, since the script is still running.

I got my new badges already, and they’re great. But, I’m missing the “App Version” badge. I do, however, have lots of “Beta Tester” badges.

From the release notes about this:

Badges: The “App Version” badge is now more accurate, and will be retroactively adjusted to show the first version of the app you used. This may result in you receiving a more recent App Version badge, or losing it completely if you’ve never used the Spiceworks app.

We’re trying to get a new badge in place that will show how long you’ve been a community member. We’re still trying to figure out what exactly that badge will be though.

The script for giving the App Version badge is still running, so if you use the Spiceworks app, you should see it back in the next day or so

For now that is how it works. Would it be better to have this link open in a new tab? I don’t think we would want to expand the badges list on the avatar hover because some people have a huge amount of badges.

Yes it would be nice to have it open in a new tab. Mostly when looking at a hover I want to stay on the same page.

When you click on a username/avatar picture on the hover, do you also expect it to open a new tab, or is redirecting to the user profile expected?

For the name I would expect it to open a new tab, because I would expect a lot of data for that. But still a new tab, not on the tab I’m on.

If I go to my Profile > Activities page, the list of avatars for my “following” is exactly the same as my “followers.”

Also, where are those new filters mentioned for the Profile page? I don’t see them.

That’s a bug we noticed too We’ll have a fix out soon! If you click the arrow to open the modal, that list is still correct at least.

If you view all of your groups, you should see a couple new tabs:

When viewing someone else’s followers and following, you’ll see a new tab on each of those too:

Thanks, Cat! I have tabs for Groups but didn’t notice that the followers/following was just on other people’s profiles and not my own. I get it now.
