The Setup:
I have TrueNAS Scale 24.10 installed on a Supermicro X10DRU-i+ server.
I have 2 SFF-8643 cables connected to the AOC-S3008L-L8e HBA card (in IT mode), which are then connected to a BPN-SAS3-826EL1 backplane.
There are 12 SAS disk, occuyping all the 12 bays.
I have a SSD boot disk connected to the onboard SATA port 5.
The Issue:
When TrueNAS Scale boots up I get the following errors
[ 4.189709] ata4: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 4.189916] ata2: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 4.190121] ata1: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 4.190327] ata3: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 14.314811] ata1: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 14.315016] ata2: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 14.315234] ata4: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 14.315439] ata3: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 24.554715] ata1: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 24.554920] ata2: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 24.555127] ata3: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 24.555345] ata4: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 60.650734] ata2: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 60.650951] ata1: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 60.651167] ata3: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
[ 60.651394] ata4: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)
I can confirm that the HBA is in IT mode and inspite of these errors Truenas boots successfully to the console.
I can access the web interface from the IP.
What I don’t understand is why Truenas is trying to communicate with the oboard SATA controller as it gives me the ATA comreset errors for all the SATA ports except port 5. I had posted this on the TrueNAS community twice but nobody has responded it.
Can someone help me troubleshoot because I have exhausted all my resources looking for solutions including Chatgpt.
I am also sharing a link where you can see the video of the boot session, perhaps you can skip and just look at the errors (sorry, and thank you for your patience)

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

It is also possible you have a hardware issue.
I have reenabled and disabled the unused SATA ports but I still get the Comreset errors.
I have spent months tying to figure out what’s causing the issue. Not sure what else to look for.
