How do you centralize user resources and boost response time? VDI IT up! Jeff “The Ref” Grettler hosts another rockin’ episode of CTRL+ALT+TECH, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure style (if only there were an acronym for that). Tune in and get VDI-ified!

Non-Profits can utilize techsoup.com. The idea that Microsoft licensing is too expensive for Nonprofits is wildly inaccurate.

Not all non-profits qualify for Tech Soup, you have to have correct designator. I worked for a non-profit that had to pay enterprise pricing due to this.
This show would be good, but they are going over the top with the jokes/pokes/laughs and so on. Let’s try to stay focused during the show and content driven so that users stay tuned.

Curious that their VDI expert does not even understand what VDI is?
VDI = Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
Where you use RDS (Remote Desktop Services) to connect to Desktop OS VMs via a broker.
RDS can also be used to host Sessions as per the traditional “Terminal Server” scenario.
Anyway.
Hey Brent. Thanks for your response. We value and consider all feedback. Spiceworks offers multiple flavors of videos to consume. CTRL+ALT+TECH is more about getting real IT Pros together to talk tech work and fun whereas On The Air is more of a video white paper with deep dives into specific topics with a topic/product expert on hand. In the future, this will become to be more clear as we are always working to improve and evolve all of our shows.
Thanks again for watching!

Hey Kirk. Thanks for the feedback. I won’t repeat what I replied above to Brent since it would be a similar response and you can scroll up for that
but I will add we strive keep our shows as interactive as possible so always feel free to chime in with corrections and opinions. On CTRL+ALT+TECH, we get real IT Guys and Gals rather than vendors and marketers (that is reserved for On The Air ) so if somebody is off the mark, we are all OK with being corrected, even if its live. That is what this community is all about.
Thanks for the feedback!
