Any beer is a beer for me (besides those fruity/flowery ones)! I’m in Denver so Titan IPA and Dale’s Rocky Mountain Pale are my two fav’s!

I’ve never had/heard of any of those…and I go to world of beers all the time… I feel cheated! I must try the fail whale.

The only one I had heard of was Dead Guy.

I’ve had Dale’s Pale, too Crimson. Not bad at all. I am in Maine and typically go for Shipyard beers like Export, Summer, Monkeyfist and their APA. They also brew some pretty special session brews, too. I’ll even have a Pumkinhead during the season though my taste for that has waned a bit. LOVE using Pumkinhead and Applehead in beer bread though!

I gotta say, that Master Thief German Porter sounds amazing…

I remember beer back before beer came in flavors!

Same here. I’m always down for a good porter. Last one I had was called P-51, can’t remember the brewer. It was a coconut porter and it tasted like cr4p. Way to watery to be called a porter.

I see what you did there!

For those in the Porter crowd, I find Breckenridge Brewing’s Vanilla Porter quite tasty.

Beer Advocate Review of P-51

I just used one of the beer names, I cannot take credit for the witty name.

Colt 45 didn’t make the list? What the heck?

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m in IT and I can’t afford more than a 40 ounce beverage at a time, and fancy name brands? Heh, I wish!

I know what you mean, and while I do love some good ole’ PBR/Coors/Bud heavy, I often prefer beer with more flavor…as opposed to “canoe sex beer,” which, as Monte Python puts it, is “%*$king close to water.” Now, flavored beer on the other hand is entirely different, in that it’s not actually beer at all and is for sorority girls (see; Michelob Ultra Fruit Pomegranate Raspberry )!

Old Rasputin for me! I would rather have an Imperial Stout, or even a Belgian Golden or Tripel.

I only want to drink one, maybe two to get a buzz.

Some of those beers are actually garbage, that’s why they give them fruit flavors. Rather than the big brewhouses throwing away a batch of what, 100 barrels or so, they add some flavoring to it, and give it a snappy name.

Now, on the other hand, there are some, perhaps fruity, definitely strange-tasting Belgians, that are more interesting, and may contain a small amount of fruit. Some have no fruit at all, yet taste like they have some. Ahh, Belgium, 8 million people, 800 breweries!

At the TJ Beer Fest earlier this year, I liked the Heisenberg brewery. Bringing the science back to brewing!
