Starting yesterday morning we are unable to make outbound calls. Instead, we get a busy signal. Incoming calls are working like normal. Was waiting for 2 days to hear back from Windstream, who finally told us the issue is with our PBX. Said they thought our system was set to 23 channels and they required 22 (or vise-versa.)

Said they thought our system was set to 23 channels and they required 22 (or vise-versa.)

So what did you do to verify this?

Presumably the incoming lines are ISDN? If not what are they?

What else have you done to troubleshoot the issue?

{"@type":"Person
mark6030
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/mark6030"}},{"@type":"Answer

Can you dial internal extension just fine?

You will have to debug your voice gateway… telnet in and type “debug voip ccapi inout” to see if you are getting out to the proper line.

Also verify your service module is getting proper clock rate and speed… “service-module t1 timeslots 1-24”

If it is ISDN you can debug ISDN. “debug isdn q931” to see if there are any errors.

**A busy signal means there is no line it can communicate with. Unplug and plug the PRI line back into the router to make sure it didn’t come lose. Also look at it physically see if there is an error on the CSU/DSU module.

{"@type":"Person
johnn1494
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/johnn1494"}},{"@type":"Answer

You should check the translation rules on voice gateway or CUCM or CUCME etc… Your link is fine if you are getting incoming PSTN calls via same link.

{"@type":"Person
gearplayer
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/gearplayer"}}]}}
