I will like to know if there is any software that will be able to recover data from a HDD that has been formatted and OS7 has been re-install on the same HDD,…

I have hear that ther is a hiren cd that will help me with the issues but I don’t know where to get it from, as well if there is any specific free software I will like to know about it… I need to recover all the user profiles if even possible

I have use it before bit I don’t think it cant, remember that the old OS ws Delete and install a new one, will that software recover the user profile even thought >?

That’s a question you would ask for any recovery method at this point, can it? It’s a good question, nothing is guaranteed here. You will have to try it. I would do a deep scan and let it run overnight.

I’m sure you will be able to recover some data, but like starg33ker said, it’s not guaranteed. How much is recoverable will depend on the overwrite damage from the fresh OS install and any activity that has been done with it after that. Not all recovery software is created alike either. With free software options, you may be able to get files and folders, or you may just be able to get raw files without filenames and directory structure.

A data recovery service will generally cost a bit more than software efforts for this kind of thing, but the result will likely be better, and (for most services) you wouldn’t have to pay if they were unsuccessful in retrieving the data you need.

These is a boundary condition for data recovery that the hard drive or storage media from where the data is lost should not be over-written. But still you can try once. Try Seagate File Recovery it recovered my data for me once but it is a bit expensive.
