No I’m not talking tik or anything, but I was curious as to how you guys deal with stress, fatigue, users etc at work?

I’m fortunate to work in a company that allows us to listen to music while we work, so mostly I deal by hunting down a track or two to suit the situation and pumping it up for 5 min.

How do you deflate at work?

Tip I got from Dexter the series, tried it and it made a difference - “never eat lunch at your desk”

Not always possible, but just the change of scenery for 30 min relaxes me a bit and I find strength / perspective for the rest of the day.

Other wise a “smoke break” (I don’t smoke but think its just fair I get the same break privileges from time to time) on the roof of the building to clear my head and relax before I snap and physically / verbally assault a user.

Yeah I do both of those, vacating my desk during lunch and smoking.

But sometimes you get that one user…
