Hi,

I recently had to transition from my MS surface to a dell laptop (Surface bricked itself on my lunch break :/)

I have a Dell laptop and dock now, but the dock doesn’t supply any usb power. I cant charge my phone, which is a minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless.

Is this widespread?

Sounds like a bad dock. I have 2 e-port replicators(dock) and both charge my phone without issue.

Is it a D1000 dock?

Nope

Its the standard e-port or whatever they call it

hope not, its brand new :frowning:

Brand new means free replacement

Try another phone and cable combo to make sure, but I haven’t had any problem with the power. Also, make sure you have the proper power pack in the dock, mine uses a 130W.

Look on the bottom of your dock for the model number. They call 4 different docks by the same name.

Sounds like a first world problem to me (And probably a defective dock). Is the wall not good enough anymore?

lol sounds like a plan

UPDATE: i found the fix, it was the driver. Windows didnt automatically install the driver for my phone, so it wouldnt send power to it. When I installed the driver it fixed it.
