First I want to say that I tried to see if selling hardware breaks any forum rules but all I could find was that it was ok as long as i’m not a vendor and i’m not flooding the forum. Sorry in advance if the rules have changed.

So…we recently made a business purchase and have some equipment that we aren’t using so I contacted a server buyback company but figured i’d offer it up here in case someone is in need and wants to save a bit of $$.

I have a Dell PowerEdge R730 with the following specs :

Dell PowerEdge R730

16 Drive Chassis / Bezel / Ready Rails

2 x Intel Xeon E5-2680 2.5GHz 12Core CPU

8 x 16GB RDIMM 2133 RAM (128GB)

PERC H730 RAID Controller 1GB Cache

5 x 960GB SSD SAS Read Intensive MLC Hot-Plug PX05SR

Dual Hot-Plug Redundant Power Supple (1+1) 1100W

Windows Server 2012R2

Broadcom 5720 QP 1Gb Network Daughter Card (4 port)

Warranty until July 2020 - Dell Service Tag; 657ZPD2

If needed, I can extend the warranty to a full 5 years for whatever Dell charges (Probably about $1200). That would match what most people buy with a server like this. All the hardware is original from Dell. Original purchase cost of the server is listed as $17,842.13 , we’re open to all fair offers, no lowballs please, we already got a lowball of $5200 from ServerMonkey. There was a Synology 8 drive NAS…with no drives…that accompanied the Server. We’ll throw it in for free since its Christmas !
