Hello,
I looked and couldn’t find this reported or not but I just noticed that devices are showing “offline” but yet they are actually online. From what I can tell it’s just server’s. I even logged into the beta server and pinged from there and I got a ping back.
Running version 6.0.00581.
Thanks,
Jason

So, first if you upgraded either from 5.3 to beta, or from beta to beta, then hopefully you will have a backup of your data you can go back to. You will need to reinstall 5.3 if it’s a production server and bring in the backup data.
If it is only beta to beta, then simply uninstall SW Beta 4 AND NMAP, then reinstall the beta fresh. It seems to me that bringing in 5.3 data is causing some people problems, so I wouldn’t do that for now. Someone else may say different.
This was a brand new install. I first installed 6 build 1, then build 2, then build 3, and finally build 4.
5.3 wasnt part of the beta at all.
I just scanned the servers for inventory and notice they report offline for some reason.

Did you upgrade from Beta to Beta? This has caused other some problems. Also, NMAP needed to be reinstalled as well between Beta II and III (if memory serves) so it appears that nothing short of an uninstall of BOTH SW and NMAP and a reinstall will suffice.
Nmap is the key, as this is the thing that SW depends on for the Up/Down status.

What slylabs said but the nmap issue was beta I to II
There have also been a number f other issues that have shown up for people upgrading beta to beta
Also there have been quite a number of people with offline device issues lately. So you are not alone.

Are there any fixes for this offline device issues or is this just a wait for the RC to fix these bugs situation?
If I can ping the device from the SW6 server should that be enough where is should scan as online?

It sounds like you should wait for the RC as it will have some more fixes in place. Supposedly it is coming soon.
