What happened? Seems there are never bug fixes anymore… updates, additions. Is anyone concerned for the future of spiceworks?

I’d like to know too. I did a simple search of “Spiceworks 8” and found a ton of things that tell me about something starting at 8am or 8pm, but nothing on what I searched for.

Spiceworks search does kinda suck.

I believe it is a private group, I will try to find it, there are many others about lack of updates to 7.5 and no movement on 8 though - I will post what I can with respect to the above

we may release 7.5 patches if we discover severe issues that prevent normal usage for lots of users, or security issues, etc. That also means for any outstanding non-critical bugs that are open (or those that may be discovered later), we do not currently have a plan to release a 7.5 patch to fix them.

Lord I hope not! They have created something truly special here IMO that has helped me grow in my field tremendously. If it’s a monetary thing, make it a sub and I’d do it.

Perhaps that are no bugs to address…current version is very stable in the environment I work in.

Hey all, good timing! We actually working on an update in regards to on-prem and chatting with a few SpiceHeads about it to ensure we’er not saying it wrong (we all know how things can be taking out of context or misinterpreted if not said correctly). Francois (Spiceworks) hopes to post that publicly soon, though.

Yes, the discussion was on a private group about the state of the Applications. I believe they will post something soon.
