Is Spiceworks still being updated? We are running Spiceworks Version 7.5.00107 and the last update release was March of 2018??
I also dont seem to get any reply from their Support team on a bug issue we have raised.
Anyone have any ideas what is happening with the future of Spiceworks releases?

Spiceworks is still being supported and updated, yes. They just haven’t updated anything substantial for awhile.
I have had issues with Rackspace and their Spiceworks Widget… i am just hoping when the new verison of spiceworks comes out that it gets fixed too.

The focus right now is on the Cloud version, but the desktop version is still very much supported.
Spiceworks talked some about this at SpiceWorld last year, and much of it was reiterated at our Midwest Meetup super-SpiceCorps meeting that Jared Busch recorded for us. Francois talks about the technical side of things, and Sean and Marta do a general Q&A.

I’ve been waiting on bugs to be fixed far longer than you have - I’m sure, if it’s relating to the £ symbol or alignments in reports (I forget what else I have reported), then don’t expect it in 7.5 it will likely be fixed once then eventually roll out V8 but I’ve also lost hope in seeing that.

v9, v7.6, Spiceworks new, Spicier-works, whatever it’s called, IF it ever makes it.
I’m not sure if you was making that point because of my post, but waiting a year for any update, even minor and trialling several beta releases with limited to no movement has killed the product for me.

Take a look at this too

Coincidentally stumbled upon this thread today. I’ve been noticing the “stale factor” as well as the lack of follow-through with a support request. The request wasn’t a big deal so I didn’t really care that it went silent, but now it’s all starting to make sense.
I read the community mostly, and use inventory a little, otherwise my need for the Spiceworks database has dwindled. The community is very helpful, and the product that helped create the community is just a nice-to-occasionally-have at this point.

I find it hard to believe after over 2 years without any updates they can claim it is still being supported. Sounds more like it’s dead or abandoned to me.
I tried the cloud version. That lasted all of 15 minutes. It doesn’t get much of anything without a local agent installed and there is no Linux agent. At least the desktop version allows you to provide credentials for remote scans to get more details.

There is a beta out of the version to be released, it is MUCH faster, but it’s still not ready yet

It appears that Spiceworks has dropped support of their application…?
It is not being updated. No, last update since 2018 equates to this application being dead.
Anyone agree or disagree?
It’s been another six months since the last comment. Does anyone have any information on future updates to the self-hosted version of Spiceworks?
