Posting here as we do not have the support subscription for Docuware apparently. For anyone interested but unaware, Docuware is for document management & the automation of document workflow.

Issue I’m facing is that, when opening an email via Docuware, any added text to the body of the email is removed upon sending. Attachments go through fine, but any greetings, instructions etc are gone, even the template signature. Here’s what I know on it so far:

  • Affecting 1 user out of around 6.
  • Docuware version is the latest it can be, specifically updated via Docuware and restarted via the client’s prompt.
  • Sporadic behaviour- testing emails sent to me and another colleague come through fully. However, repeated emails to another user always delete the text body.
  • Looks to be Docuware-specific, as reproducing the email directly from the Outlook client (same attachments, body text, recipient) sends it through cleanly.
  • No additional policies/outstanding updates on the device, Windows or otherwise.
  • No difference in user licence grade.
  • Not attempted yet, but been advised to try a plain-text format rather than HTML. Not keen on this, as it will affect formatting for the user’s non-Docuware emails.
