Eggnog: Yay or Nay?

With the festive season upon us, I thought we could dive into this season’s culinary controversy. There are so many good foodie debates like does pineapple belong on pizza or if candy corn should exist, but I’m starting to notice that the classic eggnog has a similar effect. In a room full of people, some can’t get enough this eggy concoction, while others wouldn’t let it touch them with a ‘thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole’.

Would love to see how the community feels about it! Eggnog, sip or skip?

Happy Winter Solstice everyone. I hope you have a chance to relax and spend time with loved ones this season. If eggnog is not your thing, perhaps try coquitos which comes from Puerto Rico and similar to eggnog but with more of a coconut taste.

The hubby loves it. I can’t get over the thought that it’s basically mayonnaise in a glass. Hot chocolate and bourbon for me.

Eggnog and Dark RUM, Bourbon, Rye, and so many more tasty extras.
Just don’t ask how it’s made! My buddy works at a dairy and said you don’t wanna know. As he pours a stiff Rye and nog !

Hot apple cider and spiced rum is my holiday beverage of choice. I had decent nog once when it was homemade and very boozy but I don’t care for dairy much outside of its cheese form.

Yes with brandy, whiskey and rum. Although, I don’t partake in it as much now for health reasons.

I think I may have found a recipe that can check all these boxes! Bacon Bourbon Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
It’s been several years, but I made bacon chocolate chip cookies once and they were delicious.
