Does anyone know if it’s possible to get deleted emails with an email retention policy in place(1 year) using the ediscovery and content search? Or are the emails gone for good since there is a retention policy in place?<\/p>","upvoteCount":7,"answerCount":3,"datePublished":"2022-10-30T02:11:48.000Z","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"seuss09","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/u/seuss09"},"suggestedAnswer":[{"@type":"Answer","text":"

If the retention policy was configured to keep the messages for 1 year (and then delete them), yes. Without a retention policy, maximum you can get is 14-30 days, depending on the SingleItemRecovery window value.<\/p>","upvoteCount":1,"datePublished":"2022-10-30T05:22:45.000Z","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/t/email-retention-in-office365-and-ediscovery/939268/2","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"michev","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/u/michev"}},{"@type":"Answer","text":"
