After doing a firmware update on our Sophos CS110 switch, our Polycom phones decided to keep rebooting. After looking at tech docs, NSW-4959 said to use this command at the CLI ‘power legacy mode enable’
\nthis returns a message that the command is invalid. I have tried entering it a few different ways, with no success.
\nAny one else deal with this?<\/p>","upvoteCount":1,"answerCount":4,"datePublished":"2024-07-27T17:11:01.454Z","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"mikefling5379","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/u/mikefling5379"},"acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"
After some conversation with Sophos, the new switch firmware, 1.4, no longer does auto-negotiation with our older POE devices. You have to manually go to each port and change from Auto to User Defined and then set the user defined limit, in my case we have 740 watts, so I set a dozen or so ports to 30 watts. After a restart of the switch, everything worked as expected. Why Sophos even said anything about legacy power mode, I have no idea, but it would have been helpful just to say…just do this.<\/p>\n
