The variety of stuff I end up doing, which keeps me from getting bored doing the same thing day after day. As much as I complain about the “other duties as assigned” it can be interesting sometimes, like today I got to play HVAC technician, and last week I was a detective

Like Chris mentioned, doing something different all the time. If I had to sit and do the same thing for even a single day, I would probably quit.

This has got to sum it up, by far the best job of being 1st/2nd line support has to be that you aren’t stuck doing the same boring stuff day in day out which keeps you from getting bored. (Most of the time!)

Making or fixing things that make people’s lives a bit easier. Once in a while, I even get to give them new equipment. Configuring new stuff is boring, but taking it to staff is awesome.

I’m still kind of a noob, but I love web design/development. I redesigned our intranet site last year (SharePoint), and am working on the library web site this year (Drupal 7). It’s a rare outlet for my creative side. Good times.

My coworkers are pretty rad! We send each other funny IMs and it always brightens my day. The free food at work isn’t bad either
