Another feature I’d like is to bring back the old “Topics I’m following” page, where I could see at a glance how many people had replied to a topic, so I could click on it to read the new comments.

See if either of these work for you.

If they do, I have a way you can add them as shortcuts on the site.

For adding the shortcut, if you pop out the hamburger menu on the left (hit =) or click it, at the bottom there’s a +

Click the + and add a new section. I added one called Custom Links. (Now that it’s added, I can just click the pencil next to it, to add additional links under it)

In my case I added a custom link that shows the forums sorted by topic creation date rather than by newest reply

If either of the links above work for you, you would just just give it a name, paste the link it, and away you go.

I’ve seen both of those, but they don’t just have the things I’ve replied to… I don’t really read random posts (I tend to stick to the featured ones, or things I’ve found when trying to solve a problem), so I don’t want to see the new posts in the groups I follow.

I’m wondering how the other stuff is getting in that feed then unless it’s listed under your tracking/watching preferences in your user profile? I had to go clean a lot of that out after the migration to clean it up.

I did clear loads out. I think the problem comes from having things that you watch, and things that you track, and no explanation of what either actually is

Tracking means you get a number count next to posts with the number of new replies, watching means you get an e-mail alert when someone replies if I’m not mistaken.

It means you get a notification… the email is controlled under a different tab, and that determines whether you get emails for notifications or not.

I’ve just clicked in the Snap topic to see if I’ve missed any posts, and that’s showing what I want to see for topics I’m subscribed to:

This shows me any topics that have had activity since I last looked at them, but I want to be able to sort it by time of last reply, just like the old “Subscribed to” page did.

@DailyLlama are you wanting specifically a “topics that I’m following” page, or if you could sort a category or tag page by last reply would that give you what you are looking for?

We’re currently looking at some options around different sorting for the categories pages.

@Lois-Spiceworks I was hoping for the “subscribed” page like it used to be, where it showed all the topics I’d subscribed to, either by replying, or just following, and a number next to it to show how many replies had been made since I last saw it, and sorted in the order of the most recent reply.

The picture I posted above kind of does that, but only for one category, where the old one used to show you everything

Thanks for the clarification. I assumed that was the case but I did just want to double check.

@Jamie-Spiceworks just shared with me that there is a /unread (https://community.spiceworks.com/unread ) that looks to be based on unread topics that you are tracking / watching. While this doesn’t have the same functionality as the old subscribed page it might be a little closer.
