I bought this in a pawn shop. $325 US. Very much plays, sounds, and looks way better than the price paid would indicate. We somehow sniped the Fender franchise from them and frankly I wanted to hate them. I could not. Even the inexpensive Fenders were like “whoa dang man, that’s a nice guitar”. This looks like a great axe man. I love the finish and the subtle chattoyance on the fingerboard. That’ll take on some nice character over time. I’ll give you $340 for it right now. Seriously that is a killer deal man. Since 2020 you do not find deals like that anywhere.<\/p>","upvoteCount":1,"datePublished":"2024-02-26T12:45:18.000Z","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/t/fender-modern-player-telecaster-plus/967512/5","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"pcarter","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/u/pcarter"}},{"@type":"Answer","text":"\n\n

It does have a couple of sharp fret ends. But that’s an easy fix. I definitely think it’s a keeper. Much to my wife’s dismay… they are all keepers, though. So I picked up this 2012, Chinese-made Fender Modern Player Telecaster Plus. I am totally impressed with the build quality on this guitar. Sounds good. Plays amazingly well. Anyone have any experience with one of these?
