So it’s not really FREE? haha, they will call you and bug you all of the time.

No, I’ve downloaded a lot of their free ebooks. I’ve yet to be pestered by them. An email every now and again, but nothing like the spam I get from Sears and Best Buy.

It’s too bad that most of the ‘Free’ books and whitepapers for IT subjects you find are really just a sales lead collection tool. But, this isn’t that. Some of the ebooks they offer for free are a little old, but that’s it.

My take is this is a fairly legitimate marketing tool they use to draw traffic to their site. I’ve actually bought a few of their books as a result of knowing they exist.
