My Wazuh VM just took a $h!t on me for no reason. SMH
I was planning on going to karaoke tonight, but now I may just hide in the back of my bedroom all night. LOL

Yeah, I just had 4 different users come to me and say they lost their entire morning’s work in Excel, and these are all Teams/OneDrive auto-save documents. I’d think PEBKAC, except there are too many and I have confidence in their abilities…at least 3 out of the 4.

Unless you hear the dramatic music from Final Destination, you’ll be alright to go out tonight!

Do you have versioning turned on? Can they go back to a previous version?

Everything is failing atm. Damned if I know what happened. I even did a timeshift restore which also grabs all of the Wazuh files and after restore still broken.

Taking a $h!t is such a general term. Did it just stop working or is it still running but not responding to anything?
I’m on 4.12 and it’s doing fine so far.

Yeah, we tried that, but there’s just nothing there since 3pm yesterday. It’s boggling my mind. I thought maybe they’d even opened a recovery pane doc by mistake, as I’ve seen that cause issues, but it’s just not there. Oh well, thankfully it’s Friday, which means they truly hadn’t done all that much anyway.

“VM is inaccessible” and all suggestions on the forum have failed.

This could be a M365 issue. They’ve been having some issues recently so this could blow over, but I know everyone needs their stuff now.

Yeah, after all the issues yesterday, I assumed it was just a continuation, but we’ll see. My users are super-patient, so I’m cool.

How’s the Host system? Is it having any issues you can determine?
I’m in a Proxmox environment and going well, but the system I’m on is an old server too.

Check temp folder? I recently thought I saved an excel file after I worked in it for about an hour. Never saved so I was all over the place looking for it.

host is fine. I reimported the VDI file and got it running again. The logs are just empty now, but I have the log files saved if I need to go through them. It is mainly just a PITA.

Yeah, two of the users are right across the hall and said they’ve already redone their work and not to worry about it. Thanks, though! If I was that concerned, I’d start up a new post, but was simply contributing to the Friday the 13th vibe.

Are you able to restore it? Veeam or other?

Gotcha
I need to close my post out that I started due to a DL issue.

I’m convinced that product is named after the sound you make every time it breaks.

I had a horribly dramatic Friday the 13th issue! I sat down in front of my workstation and entered my password…wrong password. Weird, didn’t feel like I fat-fingered. Tried again…Wrong. Again…Wrong. Again, hit the little eyes to reveal…yep, that’s it…WRONG. Huh? Logged in with admin account, fired up AD, reset my non-admin user password to what it had been…logged out. Entered password, it let me right in. Scratching head. Office 365 wants new password. What’s going on? Couple of hours later, got back to my machine. Entered password…wrong. ??? Finally dawned on me. One of my Correct Horse Battery Staple password type words has two possible spellings…and I had switched which one I was using. The last failure was when I reverted to the original and intended spelling. This was after having this password several months, so it had been firmly entrenched in muscle memory…until Friday the 13th.
LOL…thankfully, that was the most dramatic thing that happened on Friday.

Here I was waiting for you to find the num-lock was off and you were using the number pad on the side but that was better! I often intentionally use a wrong or different spelling for common words in long passphrases, just because. This has happened to me as well
