Its an hour before I leave on Friday, work is stacked up and I am tired with no patience left. Question is, to bury my head in something? Or leave it for monday?

How sucky do you want your Monday to be? lol. I’m doing personnel reviews using an HR software I absolutely loathe. But… at least it’ll be done.

Get the critical stuff done and anything that can’t wait until Monday and then step out.

pfff that’s not bad, you know what’s bad? When people decide to place that stack of work within the last 10 mins of the day. You’re looking forward to getting out or the weekend and bam, stack of work that they probably could’ve given you hours ago but no, right now seemed right.

Gah! I hate that. I also hate when this stupid software demands I give someone a “Could do better” when none of my techs deserve it. Knowing that it’s going to effect their raise from HR. I could doorkick this stupid software. “More defined metrics” my fury grey arse.

Find somewhere quiet. Get a couple of things done you have been wanting to finish.
The rest can wait until Monday.
Beer. Beer will make it better. Or at least make you forget, assuming you drink enough of it.

Leave it for Monday! No need to start anything big on a Friday.

This is what I do. Who wants to leave all stressed out? Not me

I started something last Friday at noon, I get out at 1630. We have 3 DCs that needed upgrading. I upgraded them. I was out by 1800 and was supposed to go to the lake at 1500.
I would strongly suggest you leave whatever the project is, for Monday.

There is a reason it is called Read-Only Friday.

Are any of the items you’ve got to deal with showstoppers (eg, problems with printing payroll checks, servers down or impeding normal workflow) or are they lower-level items (mouse is a bit jerky, printer is a little slow to print)?
Items that can cause for a stressful weekend and possibly lead to calls after you leave for the day, do now. All others can wait until Monday.
And then… Beer. Beer and bacon. Beer-flavored bacon? Bacon-flavored beer?
1.) I have beer at my desk. Story behind that is I had a gathering with friends last night and never took the 6 pack out of the car, I didn’t wan the cans to explode in the 115 degree heat.
2.) No show-stoppers
3.) Pizza
4.) I’m out.

Is anyone going to die if you don’t get this accomplished?
If the answer is no, it can wait.
I’d rather stay a little late on Friday and have less to do on Monday, plus I miss all of the 5 o’clock traffic!
