Its another Friday and that means we are one weekend closer to 2024. Let focus on the here and now, what games do I want to play this weekend? I started a new WoW character that I named Homehor, so I will probably continue that (until the free leveling runs out). I think I’ll continue the NeIR raid series in FFXIV, play some more VR games like Pavlov, and some Madden 24’. My group of friends might watch either all the current Hunger Games movies or we will watch another Harry Potter Movie in Discord.

What games do you want to play this weekend? I’ve got Cookie Clicker running on a machine I rarely use and I’ll def be hitting up some Robocop: Rogue City. Might go hang out with a couple buddies, but that doesn’t really sound that fun for some reason.

I’m curling this weekend so not likely to find much time to game, but Star Wars Jedi Survivor is on the docket for any spare time I can find. If there’s time or frustration (rage quits) I’ll play some Metal Solid 2.

Starship troopers was a solid choice, mine would be Spaceballs though.

A - I probably wont be gaming tonight since I’m going out to dinner with my mom for her birthday. Saturday and Sunday though I will probably be playing Pokémon Legends of Arceus. I have been enjoying it a lot recently and just taking my time through the game. I might also play some CS:GO or BF2042

A - That’s a really good question haha. The first movie that came to mind with Batman The Dark Knight. Pretty much anytime I find it one the TV I will leave it and just finish the movie haha. Other then that, I cant think of any others that I go out of my way to watch all the time.

What games do you want to play this weekend?
I would really like to finish up Lords of the Fallen this weekend. I’m at the final stages of the game. I haven’t run a completionists playthrough as I would have to follow a guide, and you are required to beat the game 3 times to get all of the trophies, I just don’t have time for that. However, I have really enjoyed this game. I fully complete each area twice, once in the regular view and once in the Umbral view. I’m sure I’ve missed some things, but I feel like I gave it my all. I haven’t explored the magic system, however the throwing weapons in this game are rather unbalanced, in a good way. I have slayed so many bosses by just throwing things at them. It’s kind of hilarious.
I also caved and pre-ordered MW III. I played some of the campaign on early access last night and it’s pretty good. I cannot wait to check out MWZ. That sounds like quite a bit of fun. I will likely finish the campaign this weekend after I beat LOTF.
What movie could you rewatch, right now, like its your favorite movie?
Any Star Wars movie 1-6, Eight Legged Freaks, Spaceballs, Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Kingdom of Heaven, King Arthur, Man on Fire, The Departed, Office Space, Idiocracy, and a few others I can’t think of right now. I don’t really have a “favorite” movie, but all of the movies mentioned I have seen multiple times and I love watching them every time. If I had to pick an all-time favorite, it would be Saving Private Ryan due to the realism. Nothing I have ever watched really hits as hard as that movie. IMO it’s a cinematic masterpiece.

What games do you want to play this weekend?
I’m not entirely sure, honestly. I might play more Astroneer, or maybe I’ll pick up Pikmin 2 again and try to finally finish it once and for all. Really no telling what I’m going to play this weekend to be honest. I kinda just do whatever in the moment. I still want to pick up Super Mario Wonder, Pikmin 4, and that one Kirby game who’s full title I can’t remember. However, rent and other adult responsibilities(and fashion!) get in the way so I try not to overspend. It’s not unusual for me to just hop around different games and not really finish them too often. My partner has been mainly playing Catacylsm Dark Days Ahead recently, and Death Stranding recently.
What movie could you rewatch, right now, like its your favorite movie?
I’m not super big on movies but I could rewatch Barbie, I guess. Spiderman came out on Netflix recently and I didn’t get a chance to watch that in the theater so I might end up watching that. Spiderman movies are really the only Marvel superhero movies I even like. I’m not a big Marvel or comic book girl but I’ve always loved me some Peter Parker(and Deadpool). My fiance somehow has never seen Matilda so I’m determined to show them that now.

I’ll probably continue playing Dead by Daylight, although I did start a new playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy on the PS5, so it’ll be a mix of them, but mostly Dead By Daylight I think.
What movie could you rewatch, right now, like its your favorite movie?
The Dark Knight. It’s great, and Heath Ledger was and still is the best Joker portrayal around.

I’ll probably spend a decent amount of time playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder and working on getting the NFL 2k24 mod for NFL 2k5 working on my Steam Deck. I upgraded my 64 gb model to a 1 tb SSD earlier this week and, after dabbling with emulation on it when I first got it, have gone full bore in getting my old 512 gb SD card filled to the brim with emulators & ROMs. I already had Ps2 & Gamecube/Wii working on it but I guess in the year and a half I’ve had it Xbox 360 emulation has come a LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG way as I managed to get Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 HD Turbo, Viva Piñata, & the XBLA arcade ports of Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie all running smoothly on it through Proton (when the Steam Deck first launched any kind of 360 emulation had to be done through Windows). They even look great running docked on my TV, I’m extremely happy with it.
What movie could you rewatch, right now, like its your favorite movie?
You have no idea how many movies fit this description lol. There are multitudes of movies I could watch over and over again. I guess if I were to pick one that I was in the mood for I’ll go with Oppenheimer since that’s FINALLY dropping on Blu-Ray this month (I can’t remember the last time it took a movie this long to come out on blu-ray). I loved it at the theater and am very excited to see how great it is on my home setup.

I’m sitting down for a 5 hour YouTube video and I might have World of Warships or Magic Arena open in the meantime. Thought about going airsofting tomorrow but I need to take care of the yard. I think I’ll pick up RoboCop Rogue City, it sounds incredibly cool, although I probably need to cut back on picking up new games at the moment.
I’m not usually big on rewatching movies but thinking about it there’s a lot of stuff that I could use a rewatch of. Others have mentioned some great picks already. I was very late to the party on it, but Master & Commander was way better than I was expecting. I watched Killers of the Flower Moon and it put me in a mood for more Scorsese, my other favorite movie of his is Casino.

Wonder is incredible. loving the different mechanics on each level. Pikmin 4 was amazing too. The time pressure never felt too much and I hate timers in games. I want to dive into that Kirby Forgotten Lands game as well but just letting you know those first 2 are worth the money when you get around to it.

What am I planning on playing this weekend: I’m a mission and a half away from completing Aven Colony (at least on Normal), so I’m hoping to finish that. If I have time, I’ll do some Diablo IV, too. I also need to sort out groups for the LRP events I’m running the builds on next year, so depending on how much keen they have, that might take up my time.
What movie could I rewatch - There’s a lot of them. Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Wars, Attack the Block, Marvel’s Avengers (and about two thirds of the MCU in general), Krull, 2001: A Space Odyssey and many others.
