“New features we develop for Windows 11, version 25H2 are part of the version 24H2 branch. When the new code is complete, we include it in the monthly LCUs for Windows 11, version 24H2 in a Disabled state.”

No Windows 12 ?? heehee…

I always tot that Windows is/was linked between the Client vs Server OSes in a way…at least for the look and feel.

The real question, will this unbreak 24H2? Will it be the end of the random “What is that!?”. Probably not, but here’s hoping

24H2 is mostly unbroken now. Running it on a large scale without issues. Not to say there aren’t still some out there just none that are affecting the hundreds of machines I have on it. Ironically one of the biggest issues I’ve seen is one that wouldn’t affect corporate machines and that’s the blue screens with easy anti cheat for gaming.

Likewise 2025 as a member server has been fine for me with the small handful I have up and running. Almost all of them are servers specific to my department so it wouldn’t affect the user base at large if there was an issue. It lets me put it through the paces though. Domain controller however is still not ready for prime time.

We’ll have to wait and see if 25H2 introduces any new issues based on whatever features they put in it. 24H2 has significant improvements to new LAPS which I like.

It’s mostly unbroken. We too have thousands of machines and run into minor oddities, Like wireless Secured/No internet until a restart on the last update.

please, please Microsoft do not include all of the bloatware. I know CSAND has that awesome script, but it would be so much better if it never came with the Pro anyway.

There’s a Youtube channel I follow, that has a regular saying that I think also applies to Microsoft:

“I don’t know if it’s fixed, but it’s different!”

Junkyard Digs?

Anyway…We still can’t run 24H2 in our network…no internet after 2 reboots (group policy applies), yes I know about the service dependency, but fixing that no longer works to restore internet connectivity. Hopefully 25H2 works cause we’re running out of time and options.

Oh Goody, Can’t wait to see the new adware and what useful features will no longer be configurable unless you’re using intune.

LOL. With its 1000s of workarounds

Nah, they’re going to pull an ‘Apple’ move and go with Windows 26 instead!

Somewhere, some marketing type is having convulsions…
Even windows version numbers are unlucky…
The next odd version number is 13

Plugging this topic in tomorrow’s newsletter. So while doing some internet trol… err, my homework on this, I ran across these that some might find interesting:

Or maybe Windows 365 ??

Don’t they already have that? Like, their OS as a Service calling?

I think MS took a page out of “This is Spinal Tap”. It goes to 11. They could have made Win10 better, but they decided they needed that little ‘extra’ so they cranked it up to Win11.

I’ll completely disagree with that.

I pulled a new ISO 6 days ago - and it still didn’t install the MS PDF print driver.. .ug!

This one took me wayyyyy too long to resolve just two days ago, also with a brand new ISO.
