Step 1: Get Spiceworks Network Mapping Working Again
I found a workaround for flash not being supported anymore. Using chrome go to ietab.net, or just search for their extension in the chrome store. Install it and its secondary applet when you enable it (click the icon next to your address bar that appears, or if you have ‘plug-ins’ app installed it will be in that menu). Then access your portal using the second address bar that pops up when enabled (easier to go to portal first then enable, note:will make you login again). Network mapping should now have full functionality.

I tried this method, and still was not able to access the network map. Were you using any other settings such as a specific IE instance through Compatibility mode?
