If you’re looking for a professional solution for G Suite, we use Backupify: http://www.datto.com/backupify

There is an opensource tool for this:

Gmvault is good too:

If you are looking to backup on cloud providers you can do so using this tool

We use a cloud based backup service called Spanning Backup. It will backup email and any Google Docs. Backups can be downloaded to a compressed file for local archiving. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/spanning-backup-for-googl/akfkhmpfklgcgigbplhmgapkfahnkajf?hl=en

If it’s going to Outlook you can just Export to PST.

Google automatically stores all of your data in Google Drive which is free of cost if you are using the basic features. If you have any issue of your confidential emails than I think you should transfer your files using Synaman to your own computer. You can extract the gmail back up file from the google drive and than you can transfer it anywhere using Synaman no matter if the size is large because Synaman can easily handle without any bandwidth throttle.

Try Google Takeout that you can simply download all mail, contact, calendar and other folders in mbox format. It is free of cost. Link as below:
