Hello All,
I am having an issue with our Google Chrome Policy not allowing an intranet (internal) web app/site to be access. I know its a policy issue since the IT Department computers are not using the Google GPO Policy in Group Policy Mgt.
I am trying to figure out how to configure chrome to resolve this intranet site. http://fwbintranet/eServicesWebPortal
it works fine in IE and as soon i delete the policy from OU and have user reboot - the site is able to resolve… just a note chrome tries to resolve the site externally.
Hope I gave enough info…
Found out if i give the fully qualified address of the server fwbintranet.domain.com/eServicesWebPortal in the address bar it works with policy active.
I did add the fully qualify address of the server to the proxy bypass rules of the Google Policy…so it seems that may be an DNS issue instead …thoughts?

What settings are being pushed in the GPO? Is it forcing DNS resolution to google’s DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)?
Our internal DNS(Domain Controllers) servers handle the clients DNS …
Not if you are setting Chrome to use it’s own built-in DNS client in the policy.

What settings are enabled in the policy being applied to your computers?
The above setting is not configured:
Our users do not change anything:
If this policy is left not set, the users will be able to change whether the built-in DNS client is used by editing chrome://flags or specifying a command-line flag.
You said it’s a policy issue yet you haven’t given us any of the settings from the policy. I’ll ask again. What settings are being applied in this policy?
Sorry I should have done that also: These are the only ones we have enable or disabled
If you need specific details on certain ones let me know.
I have included the fully qualified address of the server in the proxy bypass rules

Since its not working, try using Chrome internal DNS.
Thanks but that is not possible at the moment…appreciate your input
