Forgive me if this is terribly noob.

I have a 2019 virtual server with a domain (server 1). I joined a 2nd server to that same domain and can see the GPOs and users in active directory on both servers. I created an org unit in server 2 and tried to apply a group policy, but the policy is not taking affect.

My GPOs work perfectly on the original server, server 1.

I created an org unit in server 1 and tried to create a group policy and that policy is also not taking effect in server 2. Why?

Can someone steer me in the right direction or a resouce that tells me what I’m missing?

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

What does the policy do?

Is it assigned to users or computers and what is in the OU you are applying it to?

What does

gpresult /r /scope computer (or user) give you, does this GPO say denied, if so, why?

{"@type":"Person
Rod-IT
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/Rod-IT"}},{"@type":"Answer

It locks most of the task bar and start menu down so users can’t access it. After hours more working on this I figured out that it was related to Replication. The AD wasn’t replicating because of a tombstone time issue. I had to create the HKEY to force a replication.

{"@type":"Person
cpavstech
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/cpavstech"}}]}}
