So, wondering if anyone wants a free, no obligation, username change. :slight_smile:

There are some technical limitations, and a couple of rules

  • Username must only include numbers, letters, dashes, dots, and underscores
  • Username must begin with a letter, a number or an underscore
  • Username must end with a letter or a number
  • No company names (allowed only for marketer/vendor partner accounts)
  • No super generic names like “IT Support”
  • Must be safe for work

You can also ask for our special random name package if you can’t think of anything.

(For people who are changing from a “spiceuser” name, I will throw in a free profile picture as well. Just tell me what you want, and I will try to get AI to do it, or you can opt for a random Dinovatar.) :slight_smile:

Ah, no thanks. I get the whole reinvent yourself thing, but trying to keep up with names that don’t change is hard enough for me.

I mean, my name isn’t even specific. I’m just “aJason”. lol. Maybe I’ve already “changed” it multiple times and I am actually now the third “aJason”. Who knows? :exploding_head:

I dunno. I think about it since I think I’m like the only person with a full name in here, but then again it’s never bothered me either. Maybe we should do a poll as to if i should pick an IT type community name :slight_smile:

I had someone come up to me at Spiceworld and say hey I recognize you from your posts you’re Patrick.

Probably the most famous I will ever be in life :smiley: But it was a nice feeling. Thank you fellow spicehead for that memory, I am fond of it.

So when users start changing their user names and Avatars other users get confused… and like… "I have no idea who the F you are… 5 minutes later: Ohhhh i REMEMBER!!!

That’s why i changed it back from SpiceLord, that’s why @Sammy-P changed it back from SwagLord.

A lot of us recognize each other at Spiceworld based on screen names and Avatars. Just saying.

I may be wrong.
