Microsoft has established a habit of burning people who early-adopt in the enterprise so for the time being, Windows 11 is being used at home only. For personal day-to-day use though, it’s been great so far. It’s “cool” to hate on Microsoft and anything new that comes out but in all honesty, this is one of their better launches … ever.

Many of my users are concerned about not being able to upgrade to Windows 11 after October 2022. Is this correct that the free upgrade will end then?

Heya! I found the following on Microsoft’s Windows 11 FAQ page :

“The free upgrade offer does not have a specific end date for eligible systems. However, Microsoft reserves the right to eventually end support for the free offer. This end date will be no sooner than October 5, 2022.”

Hope that provides more clarification!
