If you are currently evaluating SolarWinds’ Engineer’s Toolset, or if you have downloaded it for evaluation since November 2011, my colleague would like to talk to you.

We’re conducting two 90-minute online focus groups using GoToMeeting to understand more about how to make Engineer’s Toolset more useful and valuable for you. If you’ve downloaded it any time from November 2011 on to evaluate it for purchase, we’d love to know more about your experience. Regardless of whether you decided to buy Toolset or not (or if you haven’t made up your mind one way or the other!) we’re interested in speaking with you.

Please email kellie.mecham@solarwinds.com with which of the following day/time combinations work best for you, and the status of your evaluation (decided to buy it, decided not to buy it, haven’t decided yet).

Funny you ask this today, after 20 emails asking me to try the free ip tracker software, I finally gave in, and tbh it seems like it might be useful tool.

I’ve definitely taken a look at it. There’s a lot there, but it’s also pricey. Perhaps a longer trial would help sell it. 4 months, maybe?

I love it. Every Friday, they send you offers for other FREE tools. Get on their mailing list. Their community is as friendly as this community. I have been using the engineering toolkit for the last several years at my previous position. The built-in IP tracker was my most used tool, but you can get a free version nowadays. Even with the length of time that I had the fully licenced product, I never did use EVERY feature in the package. I will miss not having SolarWinds Engineering Toolkit in my bag of tricks. Now, I have to convince my new employer to pick it up.

I just noticed yesterday that Orion, SolarWinds other keynote product, made User’s Choice last year for one of my Networking websites. I have been admiring Orion from a distance and it gets better reviews that SolarWinds Eng TK. Download the demo, try it out, and you will be hooked!
