Feels like wherever you are, the weather is wild at the moment!

It’s been in the mid-to-high 20ºC here in the UK (where I am) for the best part of a month—which is pretty darn hot for us—and we’re due storms tonight… but my colleagues in Poland have told me it’s been the coldest summer in ages.

What’s it like where you are? How are you coping? And, biggest question of all: do you have air conditioning where you are?!

(PS: Sorry for being stereotypically British and talking about the weather. I can’t help it.)

I’m also in the UK, and where I am it has been similar, capping at 33-34ºC.
The major issue we seem to have is the humidity - the other day it was 32ºC and a humidity of about 30%, and it was quite pleasant for a stroll across town after work to go to the cinema. The problem is most of the time it’s between 60 and 90% humidity when it’s hot and that’s just unpleasant.
My office does have air con. We had a bunch of portable units sat in the office for a few weeks over the hottest period because the building management company hadn’t maintained the units on the roof, and they packed up at the beginning of June. They fixed them last week.

AC 24/7.
From the house to the car.
Temp hit 120 last week, been about 105 or so this week.
I posted about this a few days ago. 120 is almost 50 C. Summer Temperatures

So hoodies until it warms up in the day.

Argh! I don’t know how I’d cope. I find it so relentless..

Ahhhh—I miss my hoodies at this point. I like summer but… is it wrong to miss the autumn/winter already…

Yeah we had stretch there when it was getting up around 30C that was a bit much.

I did stick a lightweight hoodie on the other day when it rained.
Of course, that just cranked the humidity up when it stopped, so the hoodie spent the rest of the day not being worn.

It is not nearly as hot where I live as most people who post in here, but we are still looking at temps 20 degrees above normal on average these past few weeks so I’ll give it a shot. I am still hiking and think I got heatstroke one day. Following day was Sunday so I stayed home for most of it, drank a liquid-IV and lots of water and ate lots of food then went out for Ice Cream and was fine :joy:. Other than that, just sit in the AC when I can. I work in a server room so free AC most of the time

This streak of storms in my area are concerning…typically, if it’s storming during the day anytime June-August, someone’s putting in a major insurance claim…just hoping it passes us by while I’m at work, my truck is in the parking lot with no cover. Hail hath no fury…oh wait…

I want to wake up early tomorrow just for this

Here in Central Oregon the temperatures are bearable except for the peak highs in the late afternoon but the wildfire smoke has been troublesome. We had a couple of days bad enough to break out the air purifier. Fortunately it’s cooling and on the weekends we can go up in the mountains

I am originally from the south coast which would have been in the 30C+ area, but i live in the NE now, and its most days been mid 20’s. It may have touched 30C a couple weeks ago but mostly been less than that. Its bearable, i’ve managed but then due to how things are with me I tend to cope better in warmer conditions, and less so when its colder as I don’t get warm so easily.

Over 100 all week this week, nearly that all last week (with one day’s break due to rain…). The rest of the summer will likely be hot, dry, and windy…

As an update to this, it rained out of the blue last night, and very hard! Over 2" in about an hour, including high wind speeds/gusts…had to take a detour this morning going to work, as part of one of the main roads I need to take was shut down, because water was still running over it!

Well here’s my forecast where I live

Hmm…looks very similar to what I’m seeing…just not quite as large numbers.

the heat index hit 113F here yesterday, might be slightly lower today but still miserable. We’re expected to continue the same most of the week.

My dad picked a hell of a week to come visit us from MA

We cope by keeping the blinds closed and the AC on and barely go outside.

That, too, is how we manage to survive the summer!
