So I am trying to use Clonezilla SE and I am running into some issues with it. I asked Google how to use it and found this helpful video on youtube. I am doing fine until I get to the part where Clonezilla is looking for a mount. In other words, I am following the steps exactly as the author in the youtube video takes. Beginning from here and I start having an issue here .

There are a few minor differences in that the author is not using a domain - I am. The IP addresses are obviously different, including the default gateway and DNS. I am using the “static IP” (we already manually assign IP’s) and I’m using a different username and password.

Other than that, I’m doing everything exactly as the author outlines and I am getting the following error message: mount error (115): Operation now in progress. Refer to the mount.cifs (8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) Clonezilla image home directory /home/patimage is not a mounting point! Failed to mount other device as /home/partimag

I wanted to see if I could successfully clone a Windows machine using Clonezilla SE. I am using option one outlined here of SE . I find the information on Clonezilla’s page to be out of date and I have continued to ask Google for additional help - thought I would also ask here too for help.

Edit

Ok so I think I figured it out - and it seems that this was an issue with perhaps the NIC on one of the boxes I was trying to clone. I am able to clone a different box now using the steps outlined in that video noted above. Once I figure out what the NIC issue is, I’ll be sure to add more info in case someone else runs into the same problem as I am.
