: Since you set the maximum dynamic addresses to 1, the switch should learn the first MAC address that communicates through the port and block others. Make sure that this MAC address is the one you intend to allow. Sometimes, devices like network printers or servers may have multiple MAC addresses.

If you have enabled Sticky Mode, the learned MAC address is saved in the running-config file of the switch. You should check if the sticky MAC address is the same as the device you expect to connect. If it is not, clearing the dynamic address table might help.

You have both Violation Trap and Violation Shutdown enabled. Normally, if a violation occurs (a different MAC address tries to connect), the switch should either send a trap to the network administrator or shutdown the port. Check the switch logs to see if it’s reporting any violations.

There could very well also be a software issue considering everything is configured correctly but still not functioning, so check the firmware updates available for the switch model.

thanks for your reply

the firmware is the latest one, and still cannot function the port security although its applied

how i can clear the dynamic address table (is it the same mac table from diagnostic tab?), because the dynamic table from security tab is empty.

another question, how i can access the switch using SSH?
