We have a hybrid environment (local AD and Exchange server, synced to M365). I’m trying to do something relatively simple and I’m running into a strange problem.

I have created a service account in Exchange, and I’d like to set up ‘send as’ privileges to an end user. When I edit the account in (local) Exchange Admin Center, under ‘mailbox delegation’, the only accounts that I see in the ‘send as’ window are groups. No individual accounts.

Is there something obvious that I’m missing here? I haven’t been able to find anything online about this particular problem.

If you try it from the MS365 side, do you have a similar issue? Have you attempted using powershell commands?
