Hello spiceheads, I am trying to get general feedback on fortiguard from fortinet. I have a HA pair of 400’s that support the AV/traffic management etc… I’m looking for feedback on usage case. If you currently work with firewalls with fortiguard running or have had past experience with it I would like to hear your opinion.
I am looking to get rid of our trend micro officescan, it tends to allow fakeAV and other undesirables through. Do you think fortiguard can block this sort of behavior at the firewall level ?

I would always run local AV as well. UTMs can only do so much. Very little if you have VPNs or secure websites involved.
Look at Palo Alto too, they are the best at blocking complex threats.
