As we’ve been asking users of the community about what they like, we’ve started to see a few patterns emerge. One of the common threads is that you tell us the community helps you become a better IT pro. Whether it’s learning about new developments in IT or practicing your troubleshooting skills by answering a question, you find that the community increases your IT knowledge.
We wondered if we could add features to continue to help you expand your knowledge. Things change fast in IT and keeping up with the latest can sometimes be a challenging task. We wondered if there was a simple way for you to test and expand your knowledge each day. Today we’d like to introduce you to the beta of a new feature we’re calling “The Daily Challenge”.
Each weekday, you’ll be presented with one question across a variety of technical topics. If you get it right, in time the questions will get a little harder. If you get it wrong, you’ll see an explanation and learn more about the topic. That’s it. By spending a few minutes each morning, you’ll continue to test and expand your knowledge.
As you learn, you can pay it forward by contributing your own questions to the mix. Together we can help each other improve our knowledge and skills. To jump-start the feature, we’ve created a few hundred questions that’ll in time be expanded with your submissions.
How do you get started?
First sign up for the daily challenge beta list and feedback group . The feature is new so we’ll be slow-rolling invitations to make sure everything is running smoothly.
How can you help once you’re in the beta?
Take a question each weekday. If a question seems wrong, give us feedback by reporting the question. If you run into bugs or issues, please report them in the beta group. And of course, submit your own questions to the mix.
