Hi, is it possible/is there any way to delete a ticket from the ios app?

Why would you ever want to delete a ticket, anywhere? Even if it was created by accident or for testing? What possible reason to delete it would there be? Just close it and move on…deleting it will mess up your ticket numbering and might give future auditors pause.

Spam emails, and there is no way to flag for spam/reduce spam on this platform like you can with others (freshdesk, etc)…that’s literally the only reason…

Do you have a mail filter? You can do better at tossing junk before it hits in Exchange 365 at the very least. What I’m saying is deleting tickets should be a VERY last resort.

Easy there @Jay-Updegrove Easy big fella!

There are plenty of reasons to delete tickets, and if it gives auditors pause, then good, they need to think outside the box, TBH. If they get thrown by a missing ticket number or two, then they are novice auditors, IMHO. IMOPH!

  • I refer you to this line of thinking:
  • *A guy in NY needed a new accountant, so he interviewed some people, 1st one he asks, whats 1+2? He says 3. *
  • *Next person he asks “What’s 1+2?” *
  • Same answer, “3.”
  • 3rd person with a little surprise, they checked on their phone calc, then answered “3.”..
  • The last guy, an older gentleman, is asked the same thing
  • “What’s 1+2?”
  • The older guy he looks at the man, tilts his head, and asks him “What do you need it to be?”
  • He got hired on the spot.

What does this have to do with deleting tickets? It’s not just doing what your asked to do, it’s looking out for others, including the man holding the axe on your job.
