when privacy badger is on in firefox it doesnt load at all… and normally that doesnt cause problems so I’m thinking something changed that triggered privacy badger to block something… that might point to the culprit…<\/p>\n
I loathe IE 11 but it works perfectly fine in IE 11. I know it was crawling last night and the phone apps were kinda screwy. There were multiple people in the discord talking about it so I didn’t feel so alone. I figured I’d give it some time but it’s doing it again today as well. It’s hit or miss. This morning it was fine but the last hour has been sloooooooow. Only seems to be Spiceworks; other sites seem to be working just fine.

I believe @nic-automox was mentioning in the discord last night that it may have something to do with the old code in the vendors page or something?
I have noticed that certain parts of the site are really slow, but the water cooler seems to be working perfectly fine for me ¯_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT: and my profile picture is no longer showing up, haha… Is it getting worse?

That was mainly for the announcement thread about the Spiceworks sale, since that’s on a vendor page. Not sure if there’s anything else going on with the rest of the site.
Edit: I clicked on the Quote Post button and started typing and it took 30 seconds for your quote to appear, so that might be an indication of slowness.

I’ve got a really old kit (8 years, i3-2310M, 4 GB, 320GB HDD, score 1,007 on single-thread CPU benchmark ) so I figured it was just me, especially having about 18 tabs opened in Chrome along with Excel, Word, RDP, Outlook, KeePass, NotePad ++, and a couple other apps open.
This post was to get the sympathy spices for my work machine.

Yeah, something is definitely going on. I’m seeing several threads where the avatars are not appearing for me. I may have a slow computer but it’s not smart enough to be selective at displaying avatars and messing up HTML rendering.

A lot of the times it will load a page just fine… until I scroll all the way up and realize the top bar with all the navigation, notification, profile stuff is gone. It’s just a black bar and nothing else.

I am seeing this too, but just sporadically. I saw the no-picture issue a couple of days ago for a while, but not now. They eventually started working. I’m thinking it is some background process that occasionally slows things down, but not sure. Will ask around.

Ziff-Davis might be using some of the bandwidth as part of the takeover, um, I mean merger.

I have noticed a little lagging here and there, but it seems to be sporadic. Although, what really freaked me out for a moment was that some people’s avatars weren’t loading and the generic avatar gets used instead on things like when you would check on the list of who spiced something which makes it look for a bit like their account was discontinued. I just happened to first see it with @cmdlette ’s avatar so it was a bit of a “what the …” moment until I clicked though to her profile to see it was still there.
