Hello, I am looking at ways to create short videos for educating users. I couldn’t find anything to recent. I would like to use SharePoint/PowerApps for the delivery of the videos. Any recommendations on low-cost video creating/editing software that is easy to use? Open to purchasing a turn-key product as well. Thanks!

If you’re on M365, have you looked at Stream? You can create do screen recordings and even include camera/microphone if you want, and it’s all included in your subscription. Tons of other options to do in various other formats as well.

We do have M365 and I have done a couple quite a while ago. I will check that out again and see how easy it is to manage. If you have used it do you have any tips on how to store/structure and share the videos? Thanks!

I’ve found it’s super-easy and intuitive. On the main landing page, you can just click ‘Screen recording’ and then choose whether or not you want video/microphone and exactly what you want to capture (screen vs. tab vs. whatever), and then off you go. The only thing I don’t like is that it auto-saves to your personal OneDrive page, but you can easily click the title and change the name and move it to whatever team/site you want:

Stream is backed by SharePoint online (SPO).
Screen recorder is fine, but if you want something more, OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) will do. It’s also free.

I use Power Director the older on prem version you can still find if you hunt for it on their website. Also with a lot of new systems a watered down version comes for free.
I have used it for ~10 years for internal and external videos for our Border Collie Rescue group

I think you can find a lot AI tools for creating YT shorts. I’ve used free makeshorts.ai and it makes shorts automatically, not perfect but quiet good for posting.
