I know, I know, no one wants to come back to work after the weekend (particularly if you had a long weekend what with it being the 4th and all) but I managed to help a few users and spot some problems super early this morning.

What about you all? Are there days when you know the users appreciate you?

Major building work going on where I am, so everyone is running about the place like mad men so no one really cares about IT today. Browsed the net most of the morning and took an early lunch. So very bored, i’m finding little jobs that need doing.

No, I won’t be able to get into work today until after 10:00 am because of appointments and tomorrow and Wednesday I have classes all day. You know something will hit the fan those two days.

I have a few users that try to google their problem BEFORE asking me… and most of the time they get to a point where they need “admin rights” to continue… so they have to call me over… if only all users were like this

They appreciate me until they can’t make a sale, then they blame the computer and my day is filled with F*** F*** games until they are satisfied.

Dreading today. Deep breaths, one ticket at a time. Let the password resets and “my computer is frozen” calls come. Been doing this way too long to be surprised by the onslaught.

I don’t think I had anything to drink all weekend, but I sure feel like I was up all night doing just that. I was ready for bed yesterday at 4 PM.

Was so glad to come back to work today. Putting our house on the market this week, so all weekend was spent working on our house. Needed to come back to work to get a break from manual labor.

2 phone calls all day, one was a locked up access point that just needed restarting and one for a corrupt excel spreadsheet so a quick restore from backup. And long may it continue this way lol

See I knew I spoke too soon. I had to go off site for about three hours to collect data. I’m strangely exhausted now, but at least it’s almost lunchtime!
